Daan invented the Scrollstop campaign in 2021 with Altruïs. The goal was to raise awareness of the harms that come with excessive social media usage.
Scrollstop became a challenge to stop scrolling on social media for a week. Thanks to Design For Impact at LUCA-arts Gent, an amazing team of students helped design the campaign under Daan's creative direction. The first launch was in October 2021 and we reached about a thousand participants. That was only the beginning!
In 2022 Altruïs partnered up with the start-up Stolp and MNM radio. Kawtar joined the challenge for a week and stopped using her Instagram account. Thousands of adolescents and young adults joined the challenge!
